Dear Family, Have you ever had a great idea, only to discover that someone else beat you to it? Perhaps it was an invention that became enormously popular, that you thought of first. Well, I recently had that experience and wanted to share the idea with you. Not because it will make me rich or famous, but because it’s a great idea you will enjoy.

Here’s the idea, it’s called Genetree. If you want to skip right to the link go here and watch the video. If you are still a little fuzzy, then read on.
For years I have been working on a web based system that would allow you to connect with Walker cousins right on line, to get better acquainted (or reacquainted), share photos, and interact in a fun way that also builds our collective body of knowledge with respect to family history. While I have made some progress in publishing information about our Ancestors, the reality for our current and rising generation is that the family website has limited appeal. And as far as gaining much in the way documentation of descendants, it has been less than successful. The task is simply too big for any individual to do.
Using Genetree, a family friendly social networking site, you can now enter your own information right online, connect with other family members, and share photos and stories. And, if you choose to do so, you can participate in DNA testing that will build our collective body of Family History as never before possible.
The site and its features are free and it is very informative and easy to use. Your only costs would be a DNA test, should you ever decide to do one. And since we have a large body of known relatives in our Family Organization, DNA testing could be done on a selective basis to validate areas of research that are limited in scope.
It only takes a moment to get started. Go here and watch the video, sign up for Genetree, then invite John Walker into your family tree! Simple enough!
Thanks for your ongoing support.
