Thanks to those of you who took time to respond to our recent survey. The results were insightful and will help us focus on those things that most interest you. While not a scientific survey, your input and especially additional comments provide unique insite as to how we can better server your interests.

I have summarrized the results below and wanted to share the highlights. Your feedback is so valuable and appreciated.

Concerning our Mission Statement

Most important – 78% of you listed identifying ancestors and descendants of John Walker as our most important responsibility, followed by promoting, research, preservation, and distribution of original historic material.

Least Important – Providing meaningful activities to strengthen family unity and serving as a resource for related family organizations.
Regarding your involvement in Family History

77%  of you are either “very active” or “somewhat active” in Family History and Genealogy research, yet 70% of you only visit the Family Organization website a few times a year.

Operating the Family Organization

72% indicated that it would be a good idea to pay for administrative help to run the organization, but only a few are willing to donate more than $50.00 per year to support the operation.

Website Content

92% felt the information presented on the Family Organization Website was either Good or Excellent with respect to accuracy, and the most sought after content was Genealogy, followed by Family History, including photo’s of pictures, people, places, and things.

One of the surprising outcomes of the survey was a desire of so many of you to have an updated version of the Big Red Book, a hallmark work and legacy of Rodney Walker.  And finally, most of you indicated a preference to hear from us about once a month.

Thanks again for taking time to respond, we will try to focus on those things that will improve your experience with us online. Look for mini-survey's to come which will help us better understand this general feedback.

Best Wishes,

David Walker
