Join a Zoom Meetup!

Each month, normally on the 3rd Monday at 7:00pm, we host a Family History Evening meetup using ZOOM to discuss family history topics. Please subscribe to our newsletter in order to receive notice and login information about this fun monthly family reunion.

Here are some suggestions to make your experience more meaningful:

  • Plan to be present - it's much more enjoyable when we can see your smiling face.
  • Identify yourself by name - Learn how to name yourself in Zoom, so we can know who you are. The name iPhone or iPad is a little vague.
  • Feel free to participate - It's much more enjoyable when there is a lively discussion, rather than a lecture.
  • Think about your surroundings when you join - bright lights in the background, noisy environments, or sitting too far from your device makes it difficult to connect with you.

Volunteer

  • How can I volunteer?

The first thing we ask is that you verify your family branch information at FamilySearch.org. Next sign-up for our monthly newsletter, Finally, volunteer to lead one of our monthly discussions in our Zoom Meetups.

  • Do you still keep an internal database of all our cousins?

No, we don't.  Due to the size of our family, it is impossible, on a volunteer basis to keep records beyond the first 3-4 generations of John Walker.

We recommend FamilySearch as the place to update our family tree.

  • What can I do to volunteer?

We would lilke branch representatives to help us stay connected to the dozen or so branches of the family and assist in our monthly Zoom Meet-ups. Consider volunteering to be a branch representative, it's easy to do and doesn't require much time committment.

  • What publications are available?

We have a variety of books in our archives, mainly for ongoing research. We hope to  publish more books for download. This is a volunteer effort, so be patient - or volunteer!
